Individual
Psychotherapy
Individual therapy is a therapeutic approach that deals with one individual to empower them to continue to make change. Several issues may arise in someone's life which disrupts their ability to move forward. From negative emotions, addiction, negative thinking, individuals can find it difficult to proceed towards their own potential.

Individual therapy is an opportunity to create goals and have someone keep you accountable. In therapy, I provide essential skills and effective solutions while working with you. It's one of the most wonderful experiences I have had to work with clients to get their needs met.

Individual therapy can be used to focus on improving your control on high risk behaviors, suicidal thoughts, decrease substance abuse, gain more control of your acting out behaviors, etc. In the therapeutic model I use, we do not judge these behaviors. The importance is to recognize the function of these behaviors and increase other behaviors which serve the same function to help decrease the need for old coping skills.

I have worked with clients to increase positive communication skills with family members without the need for family therapy. Clients have gained the ability to regulate negative thinking patterns that destabilize their relationships and have improved their performance at work as well.

Individual therapy can be tailored to your needs. The importance of the client feeling welcome and feelings momentum can restore hope when things become hopeless.
